Crushing the Tin Rocks, Crushers were used to crush the rock down to allow the tin to be seperated from the rock particles. The Tin was then ready to be melted down to be worked into whatever it was to be made into.
1863 SS Liverpool, It was in 1863 that this particular tin was being shipped from Cornwall to another country when it struck another ship and sank off the north coast of Anglesey. The Tin was saved ready to be made into the jewellery for sale on www.TinGifts.co.uk
Casting, the Tin rescued from the SS Liverpool is now stored in Cornwall, To make Tin Jewellery the Tin is melted down and casted into a mould. Each individual piece of Tin Jewellery needs to be casted in separate moulds and hardened ready for the next step in the process.
Polishing Tin Jewellery, the Tin Jewellery is then polished to a shine and the finishing touches applied.
Ready for Sale, once polishing of the Tin Jewellery piece is complete, the item is then packed into a presentation box and is then ready for sale from our store.
